Refund Policy

Bedworld — Osborne Park, Perth.

This page covers how refunds, cancellations, and the 30-Night Comfort Guarantee work once a return has been approved. For eligibility and how to lodge a return, see our Return Policy document.

All refunds are handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

1. Bedworld Products — Refunds & Cancellations

(In-store Perth purchases, and Bedworld's own mattresses, bed frames & bedroom furniture bought online)

Order Cancellations

  • You may cancel your order before it is fulfilled, at no cost — simply notify us as early as possible.

  • If you cancel after fulfillment, restocking and cancellation fees will apply, generally 20–30% or more of the order value, calculated based on the size and value of your order.

  • Custom-made items (e.g. custom headboards, customised bed bases with drawers, custom  made-to-order mattresses) are not entitled for any refund and return. Any customise item request in writing and agreed terms and conditions, if your order is for indent items which are brought in specifically for you, the order is seen and binding and can not be cancelled.

Changing an Order

If you'd like to change your normal order before its delivery date, contact us before shipping. Restocking, alteration, or change fees may apply and will be confirmed at the time of your request.

Refunds for Faulty Goods (post-delivery)

All Bedworld products are covered by the relevant manufacturer or supplier guarantee for faults, major defects, or failure to meet acceptable quality, under Australian Consumer Law. In these cases:

  • A replacement or repair will be offered by the manufacturer/supplier under their guarantee.

  • This can take time, as we need to lodge the issue with the supplier and await their response — we'll assist and keep you updated throughout.

  • We do not refund for a change of mind.

  • If you're eligible under our 30-Night Comfort Guarantee, please review the terms below before contacting your store of purchase. The 30 Night Comfort Guarantee is available only in store branded premium mattress purchase with specific terms and conditions at the signature during paper work and final invoice to follow the terms and conditions to entitle for the 30 Night Comfort Guarantee. The 30 Night Comfort Guarantee is not applicable for online mattress purchases.

30-Night Comfort Guarantee (Bedworld in-store branded selected mattress purchases) — "Adore It Or Exchange It"

Buying a new mattress is a big decision. It's normal for your body to take time to adjust to a new mattress — based on our experience, this usually takes around 30 nights. Most people only try a mattress in-store for a few minutes; sleeping on it at home is very different. That's why we offer our 30 Night Comfort Guarantee, so you can be confident in your choice.

Important: The original tax signed invoice must be submitted for all claims under this policy.

1. Eligibility and Guarantee Period

  • Adjustment Period: You must allow your body to adjust to your new mattress for a minimum of 30 nights from the date of delivery before an exchange can be requested.

  • Guarantee Window: Exchanges are only available at the end of 30 nights, following the date your mattress is delivered. No claims can be made after this period ends.

  • Purchaser Only: This guarantee is non-transferable and only applies to the original purchaser with valid proof of purchase.

2. Conditions for Exchange

  • One Exchange Limit: The guarantee is limited to one exchange per mattress item. Once a replacement mattress is received, no further exchanges will be made.

  • Required Accessories: A Protect-A-Bed water proof tencel signature series platinum mattress protector from Bedworld must be purchased at the same time as the mattress and must be clearly shown on your tax invoice.

  • Condition of Mattress: The guarantee is voided if the mattress is soiled or damaged in any way. To assess condition, you must submit five photographs from different angles, including a view of the base/bed frame.

  • Size Restriction: The replacement mattress must be the same size as the original (e.g. King for King).

  • Purchase Location: All exchanges must be arranged through the store where the mattress was originally purchased.

  • Final Decision: The final decision to exchange a mattress is at Bedworld's discretion, made after all information has been collected.

3. Fees and Pricing for Exchange

  • Pricing Basis: Exchanges are calculated on the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of both the original and replacement mattress as at the date of replacement — regardless of any original promotional, discounted, or floor stock clearance pricing.

  • Service & Delivery Fees: A service fee applies for delivery and pick-up of the original mattress, and new delivery charges apply for the replacement mattress.

  • Higher RRP Replacement: If the replacement has a higher RRP, you must pay the difference, plus all applicable new delivery charges, plus an additional $180 service fee, before pickup and delivery.

  • Lower RRP Replacement: If the replacement has a lower RRP, no refund is given for the price difference.

4. Mattress Protector Requirement

  • An approved waterproof mattress protector must be purchased at the same time as the mattress and appear on the same invoice.

  • The mattress protector must be used from the first night and for the entire time the mattress is used.

  • Any mattress that is stained, soiled, or damaged will not be eligible for exchange.

5. Bed Base & Support

  • Your mattress must be used on a suitable bed frame or base.

  • If using timber slats, they must be no more than 7cm apart.

  • A central support centre in the bed frame or base is required where applicable.

  • If the mattress is not properly supported by the recommended bed frame, the Comfort Guarantee will be cancelled. The store may request to inspect the bed frame or base.

6. Exclusions

  • The Comfort Guarantee applies to standard mattresses only purchased in store..

  • Custom orders, special-size mattresses (e.g. caravan mattresses), and Floor Stock Clearance models and online mattress purchase are not covered.

  • The 30 Night Comfort Guarantee is secondary to the manufacturer's warranty and does not affect that warranty.

Your Consumer Rights

This Comfort Guarantee is in addition to, and does not replace, your rights under Australian Consumer Law and any manufacturer's guarantee. You remain entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to repair or replacement where goods are not of acceptable quality.

Note: This guarantee applies to Bedworld in-store mattress purchases only. It does not apply to Online Exclusive mattresses (third-party suppliers' items) — see Section 2 below.

2. Online Exclusive Products (Third-party suppliers' items) — Refunds

  • Refunds are only available for majorly faulty or defective items — not for change of mind — except where a change-of-mind request has been approved under our Return Policy.

  • Admin, shipping, and bank fees will be deducted from any approved refund. We'll consult with you before finalising any refund decision.

Once an Approved Change-of-Mind Request Is Processed

  • If a return label was provided: we refund the item price + shipping fee, minus return postage and a 20% restocking fee.

  • If no return label was provided: we refund the item price + shipping fee, minus a 20% restocking fee.

If You Change Your Mind Before Receiving the Item

We'll initiate a Return to Sender (RTS) request with the supplier. Once the item reaches the supplier's warehouse, we'll refund the item price and shipping fee, minus a 20% restocking fee.

Refund & Return FAQ

Can I cancel my in-store order?

Yes, prior to your order being fulfilled — just notify us as early as possible. Cancelling after fulfilment incurs restocking, cancellation, and admin fees, generally 20–30% or more depending on order size and value. Custom-made items may attract higher fees, advised at the time of cancellation.

What happens if I change my order?

Contact us before shipping. Restocking, alteration, or change fees may apply and will be confirmed when you make the request.

I want a refund after delivery — how does that work?

Your goods are covered by the relevant manufacturer/supplier guarantee for faults or major defects under Australian Consumer Law. We'll help lodge and progress the claim with the supplier. We don't refund for change of mind, but you may be eligible under our 30-Night Comfort Guarantee (see above) if purchased in-store with a Protect-A-Bed protector.

My mattress doesn't feel right — what can I do?

If eligible, our 30-Night Comfort Guarantee (in-store purchases only, with an approved mattress protector purchased at the same time) may apply — see full terms above. The manufacturer's warranty covers construction faults, not comfort preference.
