Mattress Warranty

Does my mattress come with a warranty?

Yes. All mattresses sold at Bedworld come with a 10-year warranty depending on what mattress, brand and size you select and buy (The manufacturer warranty card comes with the new mattress). This covers defects in materials and workmanship. To remain covered, you must follow all care and maintenance instructions from the manufacturer in the warranty card and keep your proof of purchase. Please note that some actions such as misuse, kids jumping or not following the care and maintenance practices can cancel the manufacturer’s warranty.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Your mattress warranty does not usually cover:

  • Handles (if fitted): These are for positioning only and should not be used to lift the full weight of the mattress
  • Heat-related issues
  • Comfort preferences: Comfort is personal and is not considered a fault. Any personal comfort or feel not considered a manufacturing fault.
  • Smells or odours from a new mattress
  • Minor manufacturing variations that do not affect performance

After Purchasing Your New Mattress

What should I expect?

It can take up to 30 to 60 days for your body to adjust to a new mattress. Your new mattress will feel different and provide better support than your old one. For extra peace of mind, ask about our 30-night mattress comfort guarantee and read the terms and conditions associated with the 30 – night mattress comfort guarantee.

Mattress Protection

Using a recommended waterproof mattress protector is essential. It helps protect against spills and stains, extends the life of your mattress, and may be required to qualify for the 30-night comfort guarantee if purchased at the same time as your mattress.

Body Impressions

Body impressions are normal as the comfort layers settle. Softer mattresses contain more comfort layers and may show this more.
To reduce impressions:

  • Rotate your mattress every two weeks for the first three months
  • Then rotate the mattress at least every month for the best results

Sleeping Temperature

If your mattress feels warmer, this is normal. Modern mattresses allow your body to sink in more, increasing contact and warmth. Review your sheets, blankets, and bedroom temperature to find the right balance.

Mattress Support

Proper support is very important. A centre supports rail/ legs helps prevent dipping and extends mattress life.

  • If you use a slated base, slats should be secure, spaced about 5 to 7cm apart, and include a center support, prefer solid wooden slats and sturdy bed frame structure gives you the best mattress performance
  • A supportive bed frame or matching base will improve comfort and durability

For Queen and King mattresses, try sleeping in the center occasionally to help the mattress settle evenly and prevent a raised middle.
